Mouse over thumbnails to view alternate images. The Cape Bonavista Lighthouse is a Provincial Historic Site. The lighthouse began protecting mariners off our waters in 1843. It is restored to the 1870's period and is very popular with tourists and photographers alike. The building is open to the public during the tourist season.
